Compare the Ford F-150 Lightning to the Chevy Silverado EV at Ciocca Ford of Souderton
A pickup truck should do a little bit of everything, especially offering a drive that keeps you going long after the workday has finished. While traditional gas-powered engines will require you to visit the gas-pump like clockwork, new options like the Ford F-150 Lightning aren't limited to those restrictions. An efficient all-electric lineup offers seamless battery-powered control of your drive. But, the F-150 Lightning employs innovative new features and built-in technology to establish a full-size pickup truck for every morning drive or vacation getaway.
The Ford F-150 Lightning doesn't sit at the top of its class alone. Options like the Chevy Silverado EV, Chevy's answer to the electrified pickup truck segment, present a suitable rival to the F-150 Lightning. Below, we'll show you a comparison of the two all-electric full-size trucks, showing you why the Ford pickup is a worthy add over any other comparable model.

Ford F-150 Lightning vs. Chevy Silverado EV
Both trucks are equipped to tow up to 10,000 pounds, but the base models are a bit different. The Chevy Silverado EV is only limited to 8,000 pounds, while the Ford F-150 Lightning starts at 10,000 pounds. If you're looking to tow, the Ford pickup is still the king of full-size pickups! The Ford pickup can also haul up to 2,000 pounds in its cargo bed, while the Chevy Silverado EV is only rated for 1,200 pounds.
Make towing easier with technology like the Pro Trailer Hitch Assist, onboard scales, Pro Trailer Backup Assist, and Trailer Reverse Guidance. The Silverado EV can tow, but if it has this technology equipped, we haven't seen any signs of it yet. Make your work life easier with the Ford F-150 Lightning.
If you're looking for features, the Ford F-150 Lightning has an array you won't want to miss. Chief among them is the Mega Power Frunk - a front trunk feature that isn't possible with your traditional gas-powered engines. The Mega Power Frunk enjoys four Pro Power Onboard 120V outlets for a total of 2.4-kW of exportable power - you'll have a moving workshop to manage the workload. While the Chevy Silverado EV should have a front truck option, nothing has been established yet. Ford's truck will hit the road with this feature. The Mega Power Frunk offers up to 14.1 cubic feet of cargo space and can handle 400 pounds of payload capacity, making it the largest and sturdiest front trunk of any all-electric pickup.

Currently, the Chevy Silverado EV only offers one rechargeable battery option. On the other hand, the Ford F-150 Lightning features two rechargeable batteries. The Standard Range battery targets an estimated range of 230 miles, while the Extended-Range battery should hit up to 300 miles on a single charge.
The standard Ford F-150 Lightning enjoys so much technology and convenience - we aren't sure where to start. From the SYNC® 4 standard infotainment system with a 12-inch touchscreen to the SYNC® 4A system with a 15.5-inch screen, you'll find your music, apps, and navigation easy to find. Leather-trimmed, heated, and ventilated seats are available, as are the Interior Work Surface, multi-contour front seats with Active Motion®, the Ford Co-Pilot360™ Active 2.0 system, and just so much more. The Chevy Silverado EV doesn't have many features known about its lineup, but it's safe to say that the Ford F-150 Lightning offers just about everything you can ask for from a new pickup truck.
